Class Descriptions

Abs and Angles

Abs and Angles is based in yoga and Pilates to give you an effective workout to improve flexibility and increase core strength. Your core is the center of every workout you do, and Abs and Angles helps you tighten and strengthen your abdominal core to improve performance in all activity.

Body Sculpt

Body Sculpt is our strength training class, which typically uses dumbbells and other weight training equipment to build and shape lean muscle.

Bootcamp

Bootcamp is for those who like a challenge, but it is easily adaptable for all levels of fitness. Bootcamp uses bodyweight exercises and plyometrics for an intense cardio and strength workout, but you complete the workout at your own pace, and instructors will help modify each move for those who may be unable to complete them due to injury or physical condition.

Bootcamp Express

Unlike traditional bootcamp classes in which participants complete multiple reps a single exercise before moving on to the next, Bootcamp Express utilizes supersets to lead the class quickly through a total body workout.

Circuit

Circuit training takes participants through a series of stations, typically with 1-2 pairs of exercises at each station, to give participants a total body workout. Sometimes focusing on strength, sometimes focusing on cardio, and sometimes combining strength and cardio moves, Circuit's approach gives variety to your workout to fight boredom and keep your body guessing.

Dance Fitness

Dance Fitness is a member favorite at Mugwamps. Fun, high-energy dance moves are combined with traditional fitness moves for a total body workout. You will feel like you're having a night out with the girls, but you'll be torching calories while you shake what your mama gave you. 

Fight Club

One of our most popular classes! We take everything you love about dance fitness and everything you love about kickboxing and roll them into one high-energy, calorie blasting cardio phenomenon. Many of our participants burn as many--or more--calories than they do in a 4-mile run!! And it's a lot more fun! Worried about the high intensity? Don't be--we can modify all of our classes for participants of all fitness levels.

HIIT

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) intersperses segments of high-intensity cardio with active rest to help you recover. HIIT workouts are demonstrated to burn more calories and fat in less time by allowing you to keep your heart rate up during the workout.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing takes participants through safe and effective cardio kickboxing routines, combining traditional punches, jabs, and kicks with high-energy music for a fun workout that incinerates calories and fat. Cardio kickboxing improves stamina, strength, and flexibility.

Strength and Stretch

Strength and Stretch is a yoga-based class, but with less focus on the meditative aspects of yoga and more focus on the strength and flexibility moves. Strength and Stretch is set to popular music rather than traditional "zen" music. We like to call it "yoga on steroids." 

Yoga

Our yoga instructors use traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow to improve flexibility and strength and guide participants through mindful meditation. Both relaxing and invigorating, yoga should be a part of any total-body wellness routine.
